A brief historical background
Our unique system with timber framework was developed here
in Leysin more than one half century ago thanks to the initiative
and research of two generations of contractors in the Lombardi
family.
The system of “prefabrication” developed throughout
the 1950s with the construction of dismountable houses,
school buildings, and even hospitals.

In the Seventies, the Lombardi family developed
a concept of prefabrication of timber framework houses,
emphasizing the traditional style with its exterior
plaster appearance. Since then, our system has continually
been updated and perfected thanks to the access of new
materials, to technological progress and to market demands.
While the term “prefab” may be misinterpreted
as hasty, non-individualized construction, we should
emphasize that our approach to “prefabrication”
is unique indeed. Each section of your house is hand-crafted
in our workshop recording to your specific house plan.
After each section is crafted, they are carefully mounted
at the housing site. |
Today, we are proud to offer a product of great quality
combining comfort and aesthetics that allows for architectural
flexibility, and that addresses the specific needs of the
client.
Activities
Qualified professionals and state-of-the-art materials ensure
the top-quality manufacture of houses and chalets with timber
framework as well as work of restoration, carpentry, joinery
and FFF-quality windows.
Our Technical Department, along with our General Business
Department, oversee the project from its beginning to the
end of construction, as well as advise the client, supervise
the building site, and provide financial and budget guidelines.
